hermans-konopkaAgnieszka Hermans-Konopka is  Personal Development Artist, with a PhD in the psychology of emotions, she is also Cambridge University Press author and co-author of Dialogical Self Theory: Positioning and Counter-Positioning in a Globalizing Society, written together with prof dr Hubert Hermans

In her work on personal and professional development, Agnieszka Hermans Konopka aims to stimulate development on two levels: the personal one with focus on emotional authenticity and a broader level with an emphasis on awareness and consciousness.

She brings together the power of abstract art and the transformative potential of emotions with scientific developments (Dialogical Self, Hermans & Hermans-Konopka, 2010) and the philosophical view on the landscape of mind, as it appears in the tradition of Japanese rock gardens.

Abstract art which transcends language and speaks directly to our heart, allows a free space to feel. To know what you want you need to feel it deeply inside. It is a basis for choices and finding direction in one’s life.

Art transforms the self by inviting another mode of attention and a nonjudgmental, receptive attitude.
